  This is a really fun Gothic style cocktail bar. We went in the afternoon and had coffee and a few plates of the sushi. I was delighted with both. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really fun.

  The place is pretty, nicely decorated, serves a variety of food and drinks, but that is the problem. I’m not sure if this is a restaurant, a bar or a cafe? It’s just a bit of everything but nothing is the best. People are smoking inside like a bar, loudly chatting (so yeah, no chill reading books as others recommend). Portions are tiny and overpriced. Some staff was just trying to get through a day. Something needs to be done to revive this place.

  Despite the good food, our mood got ruined because the staff ask us to leave or move to their outside seat before we finish our wine because they will have live performance. We arrived around 7pm and asked to leave around 7.45pm. The staff did inform us about their ticket 350.000vnd/pax, but didn't inform us that we need to leave or sit outside if we don't want to watch live performanve before we order our food. If we know about their policy, we will move to other place where we can enjoy our last night at Hanoi peacefully

  Great sushi is hard to find in Hanoi. Simple menu, allows their chef to masterfully roll and decorate the sushi and maki we ate at the counter. The elegant rustic charm of Tadioto is not to be discounted neither to sip a cocktail with the weller-to-do locals.

  Tadioto has a positive social media presence, and it is a sultry looking bar. However, we were the only people in the joint at 7:00 PM on a Tuesday night, and the place had no energy. The bartender was polite, but read a book while we were there. Drinks were mediocre.

  Wow, guys, this was quite a disappointment. We read many good reviews on the drinks, food and atmosphere, but when we arrived we encountered awful vibes from the bartender. He came up to take the order and when we said with a smile and excuse that we were reading the legend of the place and didn't have time to check the menu itself, he rolled his eyes and departured silently. Why would you put the legend page first if you don't want people to learn it? Few minutes later we ordered two cocktails and food and heard that the kitchen is closed so no food for us. Is it hard to inform beforehand or write a note on the menu, I really don't get it. And the cocktails, spiced with bartender's bad mood, were really... okeyish, I guess. Like, they were alcoholic, the only nice thing I can say about them. The level you would get at the really cheap bar in Europe. The receptionist was really sweet, so thanks to him. I wouldn't recommend, sincerely. I mean we feel sorry for the guy if he's having a bad day or something but it's not clients' fault, right?

  Air-conditioned and a stone's throw from the opera house, this Japanese jazz bar is a beautiful respite from the bustle of the city streets and crowded vendor sidewalks. The cocktails are on point and they have a rotating whisky special on offer.

  What a funky little bar in downtown Hanoi. Friendly service with options to sit at the bar, inside or out on the street. I enjoyed a couple of beers whilst watching the local Hanoi wildlife passing by at the end of a working day.

  Good quality sushi and friendly staff but service was a bit slow. They seemed pretty understaffed for New Year’s Eve. Otherwise, great hip/grungy atmosphere (minus some indoor second hand smoke) and loungey, romantic/cozy ambiance. I would come back for bites on an off hour instead of for a main meal next time.

  Service is really good, the cocktails are average. Much prefer Polite & Co, and Mad Botanist. Where I was there the washroom was gross and toilette didn't flush. Also, while I was there a couple came in having made reservations prior, and no table was available upon arrival.
