  Montgomerie Links Golf Club ⛳🇻🇳 Had the opportunity to play at Montgomerie Links during my Da Nang golf trip and I can understand why this course has won so many awards. The course condition was very good overall — fairways nicely maintained, greens smooth and consistent, and bunkers placed strategically to punish inaccurate shots 😅 Compared to links-style courses nearby, this course feels more parkland style with wider playing areas, mature trees, water hazards, and cleaner landing zones. Still challenging, but more forgiving for average golfers. Things I liked: - Beautiful and well-maintained fairways - Greens rolled nicely and reasonably fast - Strategic bunkering throughout the course - Relaxing scenery with good landscape design - Friendly caddies and smooth operations - Nice clubhouse atmosphere and facilities - Good pace of play during my round One thing golfers should know: Even though the fairways look wide from tee box, approach shots require good positioning because many greens are protected by bunkers. Course management is important here. The weather was very hot during afternoon play, so hydration and sun protection are highly recommended. Luckily the course has plenty of beautiful scenery and a relaxing environment to enjoy the round. The clubhouse area also displays many awards and achievements, showing the reputation and quality of the course over the years. For golfers visiting Da Nang, this is definitely one of the must-play courses together with other famous golf destinations in the area. Suitable for both mid-handicap and experienced golfers who want a fun but challenging round. Highly recommended for golf travellers looking for a premium golf experience in Vietnam ⛳👍

  One of my favourite golfing experiences. Great course and a good level of challenge for a mid to high handicapper whilst still being really accessible. Relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. Caddies were fantastic and make the experience really fun whilst also being very knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.

  I don’t care what anybody has written down below, but I played this course today and it is in fabulous shape. The tea boxes, the fairways and the greens are all super crisp. OK the greens could be a little faster, but it is Winter after all. I strongly recommend anybody to play this course because the layout is fabulous and you will have a wonderful day playing it. My caddy #216 and she knew exactly what she was doing and helped me read the pots on the greens. Excellent job.

  Don’t believe the negative reviews, yes the greens were slow, but you can understand why if you’re keen golfer. The course was in good condition, considering the heat, the caddies were knowledgeable, and good company. Nice bar/restaurant to finish off the round. Next time I would take my own clubs.

  An older club about 25 minutes from downtown. It is quite popular with the Koreans, lots of Koreans. It is busy and slow. Course conditions were just ok. Fairways and greens need some TLC in most holes. We played multiple courses in Saigon and Danang, this got to be the most disappointed one so far. My husband thought there were 2 18 holes here so he asked the lady that checked us in which course are we playing. The lady at the counter didn’t understand the question. My husband repeated the question 2 times so she got frustrated. I was busy shopping at the merchandise but I decided to interrupt the conversation so that I can ask the same question in Vietnamese. Locker room also needs an update, as some of the shower heads need to be replaced. Definitely not worth the price.

  Beautifully set up course and greens and bunkers were excellent. Staff also amazing as were the caddies! So far so good! But very slow play and the fairways are not in good condition. When more expensive than Ba Na Hills Golf, which was better, I expected fairways to be in better condition. Maybe just too many people play each day. Maybe better in the off season 😢

  tldr: good play, bad stay. After a few email exchange, i decided to book a play & stay with Montgomerie Links. Definitely not worth a stay. at all. Once we stepped onto the property, the hotel staff was extremely disorganized. Turns out I know their policy better than them. They state they have complimentary shuttle bus from hotel to Da Nang or Hoi An. While one hotel receptionist was asking where I’d like to be dropped off in Da Nang, the other was saying they don’t have it. In fact, she said they haven’t had it in 2 years and their hotel directory was incorrect in just my room. (Lol that is definitely a lie because the other hotel receptionist was just as puzzled as me. She told him to stop talking in Vietnamese). They offered to take us with their staff shuttle. They sent us to our rooms and said they’ll call for an update. Turn outs, they didn’t know their driver wasn’t working that day. They offer room service from their restaurant (Birdies), but they don’t pick up their phone. When I called the hotel reception, they said the restaurant was closed, despite the hotel directory saying it was open until 9 pm (it was 8:15pm). I get a call from Birdies and it turns out they were open, but they don’t offer room service for certain items, despite it being on their room in service menu. There is no running drinking water, even at the fitness center despite being 95 degrees outside. Complimentary breakfast is minimal and is a set up to buy from their breakfast menus. The server brings out a menu and says “order from here”. Despite paying for rental clubs, I was not able to use them at the complimentary driving range, so don’t count on that. They said I had to pay per club to use at the driving range. The golf course itself was in good condition, despite being currently under maintence. The caddie was helpful and funny. Thank you, Na! The play experience was probably the only redeeming factor of Montgomerie Links (definitely reconsider playing anytime after 7:15 am tee off because the sun is literally no joke). Summary: Don’t stay here. It’s extremely disorganized. Staff is more confused than me. Frankly, management is scarce and clearly lacking in leadership. The Play&Stay is a money grab! Your money is better spent somewhere else! If you want to play & stay, IT IS NOT HERE! Update: After checking out, they sent an email that upon check out, they miscalculated the bill and I am due for another 900,000 VND (the cost of my rental club). That bill was accounted for and paid when I had to pay 50% upfront and 50% upon check out. On top of the terrible service during my stay, this email definitely left a deep impression that this place certainly is lowkey a scam. I cannot stress this enough, do not stay here. Heck I wouldn’t even play here anymore. 0 stars for the management and stay.

  - beautiful course, well maintained with some bits newly laid/under repair - stunning 15-20 ft pine trees that line most fairways across the property, creating a tunnel visual experience at times (can be challenging) - greens are tricky with lots of undulation - they punish you for missing too long or short - plenty of bunkers, in all the right places you would usually miss - great balance between fun and challenging, with a handful of driveable par 4s and short par 5s
